SHEEP

154 hoggs forward today, trade over all just easing off a touch to average 385/kg on the SQQ and 374/kg overall. Top pp/kg today went to R A Dobson at 473/kg for his usual super quality beltex x hoggs and top gross price also went to the Dobson family at £220/ head selling to local butcher Harry Bromwich. A few leaner hoggs in maybe just a bit harder to move but overall, good hoggs were good to sell. A few more new season lambs in the market this week from W Coleman & partners selling to 421/kg, topping at £180 to average 418/kg. In the cull section, ewes harder to move today with buyers only looking for sizeable, but lean ewes. Ewes topped at £147/ head from R A Dobson to average £109/ head.
