The reserve champion chosen by Matthew and Ben was a Limousin steer from Wagstaff Bros, Westfield Farm, Sutton on the Forest which weighed 546kg and was purchased by R Pearson, Oakenshaw, Bradford for 385p/kg, grossing £2099.37.

There was a tremendous show of quality cattle in all classes and vendors are to be congratulated. 2021 has been another difficult year as covid doesn’t seem to be going away.
The auctioneers here at YAC extend their congratulations and thanks to the vendors, buyers, drovers and accounts staff who have all worked very hard to ensure that the live auctions have continued successfully and outperformed the deadweight all year.
This year we combined forces with the Yorkshire Agricultural society to raise money for Future Farms, women in Farming, FCN and our market chaplains. Thank you to Charles Mills for attending and explaining their charitable work, in total we raised £1261.
